We are an age-old tree
Anchored to blood soaked roots
The crime of indigenous genocide
Black enslavement bears strange fruit

Years of brutal lynchings
Black death a spectacle
Tree roots fed with blood
Roots of white supremacy

Claiming the mantle of freedom
But arming hordes of empire
Militarizing the profit system
Trading blood for oil

Today we are over capacity
A fascist order looms
Pedophiles in power
Cannibalizing countless victims

We must understand the past
We must envision a future
Capitalism organized catastrophe
Ruled by depraved cabals

Sanguine blood oozes
Permeating our society
Demons of white supremacy
The toxic chains of patriarchy

Hope is profoundly scarce
So easy to feel powerless
We must root in relationship
Moving forward with emergent strategy

I sense a breaking point
Feeling a wave of resistance
A flood of awakening consciousness
Desire to transcend this system
