BLACK GEISHA: a crunk riff on reinvention and liberation

I want to write a poem that is expansive, EXPLOSIVE, and transformational

I want to write an homage to the fierce and flawless trans sisters evolving into warrior goddesses empowered to usher in a new age of sexual liberation

Sex work is one of humanity’s oldest occupations and it has not always been stigmatized and persecuted

In feudal Japan, the GEISHA were highly trained, highly respected, and well compensated objects of carnal adoration by the elite

Our black geisha come armed with AK’s ready to blow the lid off our dysfunctional social system

Last night I had a powerful VISION: a matrix of intersecting, perpendicular lines with a coptic cross and the unmistakable imprint of a wormhole branded at the center

I both see and foresee the nascent seeds of a classless future

I am a black sex-positive  queer anarchist and find great joy in the energy–spiritual and neurochemical–generated by carnal pursuits

Our black geisha are harbingers of a global festival of liberation

Black transwomen know how to protect one another and inspire me boundlessly with their skill at finding tools to organize and empower

BLACK GEISHA: inspired by the fierce style of beyonce, cardi b, rihanna, nikki,  janet and so many others in the pantheon of black feminist self-assertion

BLACK GEISHA: arming themselves with the matrix of anarchist praxis and crafting tools for lasting self-emancipation

BLACK GEISHA: my sisters in the present and our goddesses amidst the liminal outlines of a liberated future
